Frequently Asked Questions
Answers to common questions about this service
What is the difference between Class 2 and Class 3 DSC?
Class 2 DSC has been discontinued by the CCA (Controller of Certifying Authorities) since January 2021. All new DSCs issued are Class 3 — the highest assurance level, suitable for all government portal filings including MCA, GST, Income Tax, customs, and e-tenders.
Is DSC required for GST registration?
DSC is mandatory for company and LLP GST registrations. For sole proprietors and partnerships, Aadhaar OTP-based e-signing is an alternative, but DSC provides higher security and is preferred.
Can I use one DSC for multiple portals?
Yes. A Class 3 DSC can be registered and used across multiple government portals — MCA, GST, DGFT, ICEGATE, e-tender portals, EPFO, Income Tax, and more. Each portal requires a one-time DSC mapping.
What happens when my DSC expires?
An expired DSC cannot be used for signing. All portal submissions requiring DSC will fail. We provide proactive renewal reminders and process renewal before expiry to avoid filing disruptions.
Do I need to be physically present to get a DSC?
No. The entire process is online — document submission, Aadhaar OTP verification or video-based KYC, and certificate delivery. We handle it remotely for clients across Kerala.
