APEDA's scheduled products include fresh fruits and vegetables, processed food products, dairy products, poultry products, cereals, groundnuts, and several others. Kerala's key export commodities — cashews, spices (via Spices Board), fresh fruits, and processed foods — often fall under APEDA's jurisdiction.
What is RCMC and how is it different from IEC?
IEC is your basic trade identity code from DGFT. RCMC (Registration Cum Membership Certificate) from APEDA or another Export Promotion Council is required to claim benefits under the Foreign Trade Policy and is mandatory for exporting scheduled products.
How long is APEDA registration valid?
APEDA RCMC is valid for 5 years from the date of issuance and can be renewed thereafter.
